Watch how VI Peel works!
Chemical peels are a form of skin exfoliation used to make skin healthier and smoother. Peels can help improve the texture, tone, and clarity of your skin while also providing anti-aging benefits. We offer peels that deliver fresh, radiant, and healthy skin for any age group from 13 years of age and up.
The results of chemical peels are beneficial for almost everyone. They are excellent rejuvenation treatments that may require several treatments but can help achieve the results that you want by eliminating:
Most peels are approved for adults who are in good health overall, but some are safe for patients as young as 13 years of age. If you are taking Accutane or using Retin-A, please schedule an initial consultation to discuss your options.
Face & Neck
Decollete (below neck and upper chest)
Back (acne and scarring)
Other areas (private/genital areas, underarms, elbows, and legs)
A superficial chemical peel is designed to result in the peeling of the epidermis, the outer layer of your skin. This results in the temporary treatment of acne, rosacea, dry skin, and wrinkles. There are numerous types of chemical peel solutions available and each of them vary in composition and strength. Some of them only remove the top layer of the skin, but others go further into deeper layers of skin. Although they have a bigger impact on overall skin improvement, stronger chemical peels are considered more invasive, and are not offered at Natural Beauty Aesthetix.
We use a variety of products depending on your skin type, sensitivity level and desired results. At this time we only perform light - medium peels.
Anesthesia is usually not required for this treatment although a topical anesthetic may be needed for some of the stronger chemicals. It is common to combine peel treatments with microneedling, PDO threads, and other procedure which will also require a topical or local anesthetic.
Before your treatment, you will have a one-on-one consultation with Natural Beauty Aesthetix specialist. This one-on-one time is vital for safe and satisfying aesthetic results. During this appointment, we will examine your skin and review your medical history. We will explain the procedure, and what to expect from the treatment. If our assessment determines that a Chemical Peel is right for you, a unique treatment plan will be created and you can begin your treatment regime immediately after your consultation.
Some peels will result in some skin peeling but others have minimal if any peeling. Skin peeling can start two to four days after receiving the treatment and skin will look like it was windburned or sunburned. The peeling process removes the damaged and older top layer of your skin, revealing the healthier, smoother-looking skin that is underneath. Recovering from a chemical peel can take anywhere between one to 10 days depending on the strength of the treatment received. During the recovery period, your skin may feel slightly warm or tender and it will be sensitive to the sun. Follow your instructions for sun protection, cleansing, moisturizing and applying protective ointments to your skin. A sunblock is highly recommended, especially during the first few weeks after each treatment.
Treatments may take up to 45 - 60 minutes and downtime varies depending on level of peel required. After a chemical peel of any depth, your skin will be red, tight, irritated or swollen. Results may be noticeable 7-14 days after initial treatment.
Light - You might have a light peel every two to five weeks.
Medium - You might need to repeat the procedure to achieve or maintain the desired result.
The results of chemical peels can last anywhere from one month to the rest of your life. The longevity of a chemical peel’s results depends on several factors, but the most significant factor is the strength of the peel. A light, or superficial, peel produces results that usually last between one and two months. A medium peel’s results will last between two and six months, and the results of a deep peel last forever.
How much your chemical peel costs will depend on the type of solution that is chosen as well as other factors related to your specific treatment. Multiple treatments are often recommended and it is more cost-effective to buy the packages recommended for better and longer-lasting results. An in-person consultation is recommended to go over the details and discuss recommendations for the best treatment plan addressing your concerns and goals. We strive to make each session more affordable by accepting cash, all major credit cards, and healthcare financing through Cherry credit.
